Alligator Festival!

Tonight is the opening of the Alligator Festival in St. Charles Parish (just west of New Orleans). The festival opens tonight (just the rides) and continues until Sunday evening. In addition to the rides, at the festival there will be live music from local bands and vendors serving all kinds of foods made with alligator meat. My younger son ate his way through the festival last year - he just couldn't get enough gator (and he was not quite a year old!). This year, we plan to bring a little more cash so that we're prepared for his overzealous taste of alligator! I personally am looking forward to the gator sauce piquant and the Bucktown Allstars!
